Taylor Swift and the Aquarius North Node Freak Flag

If you were born with the North Node in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo, Diane Ronngren in Lunar Nodes: Keys to Emotions and Life Experiences tells us that we may have felt we were special or unique from a very young age. You could have excelled in ways that those around you did not and found yourself a party of one in your pursuits. Even if your parents encouraged you, there was still a feeling of being a stranger in a strange country. The path, then, with an Aquarius North Node, is to realize it is ok to not only be different, but to “rebel against any thought, process or customary behavior” put on you by others – to let your freak flag fly, in other words. You also, once you are out there, can find your tribe, those who get you and share your passions or point of view. Ronngren warns, though, that any group involvement should be measured against your fierce independence. “Honesty is important,” she writes. “You feel completely satisfied keeping your thoughts and ideals pure, refusing to be a part of any group or activity that doesn’t meet with your approval.”

Taylor Swift, born with the North Node in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo, displayed her phenomenal and unique talent from an early age. Singing and performing from the time she was nine, Taylor learned to play the guitar and write songs as a young teenager. Her parents were her earliest fans, and her father even changed jobs and moved the family to Nashville when Taylor was 14 so she could pursue a recording career. Taylor was told that her style of singing and writing country songs was out of date and she would never draw young fans. She insisted that the storytelling in her songs would touch young audiences, and being true to her own lights eventually brought her one of the biggest tribes in the world – her fans, the Swifties. Taylor has also resisted the pressure to maintain her popularity by avoiding speaking out on controversial topics. She went through a political awakening in 2018, and has since endorsed candidates, supported LGBTQ rights, abortion rights, and gun control, and used her considerable platform to rally young people to register to vote.
